Trimble Introduces New High-Speed Data Communications Link for Industrial Applications
High-Speed, Wireless Data Link Provides High Level of Performance
HAMBURG, Germany, Oct 11, 2016—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) introduced today the new Trimble® TMR1 Enclosed data link, a high-speed networked radio certified for license-free wireless communications around the world. The TMR1 Enclosed data link offers dual-band operation (902-928 and 865-870 MHz) with available throughput up to 2.6 Mbps and range as high as 70 miles (approximately 110 kilometers). With the simultaneous support of both serial and Ethernet sensors and with high throughput, video or data from sensors such as meters or gauges can be streamed in real-time. The TMR1 Enclosed data link is ideal for a broad range of industrial control applications including electric utilities, water/wastewater management, geomatics, oil and gas.
The announcement was made today at INTERGEO 2016, the world’s largest conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.
The Trimble TMR1 Enclosed data link supports point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and roaming network topologies. The TMR1 Enclosed is capable of dynamically selecting the optimal speed for each individual remote radio. This allows the entire network to run at optimum speed despite changing noise levels and radio locations. The TMR1 Enclosed is equipped with dual data ports for simultaneous communication with both Ethernet and serial port devices in the same network. The TMR1 Enclosed provides encrypted communications through four different types of security technologies.

The new Trimble TMR1 Enclosed data link is available in a lightweight, IP41 enclosure for easy installation in existing cabinets. The TMR1 All Weather is housed in an IP67-rated enclosure for harsh environmental conditions and the TMR1 Board Level module for system integrators is also available. The TMR1 radios are available now through Trimble's Integrated Technologies Wireless Communications international dealer network.
